Books like A Series of Unfortunate Events Set books #1-9

This series was one of my favorites in middle school. I loved the author and how he constantly broke the fourth wall. The definitions of words were entertaining for me but actually really helpful to my sister, who struggled to enjoy reading overall but loved these as well.
