Books like 28 Days: A Novel of Resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto

4/5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ARC provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Somehow, no matter how many historical fiction novels I've read in the past, I was not prepared for the emotions that 28 Days brought about. This was very much a survival story, set during a period in history when survival for some was all they had left. My thought process throughout this was equal parts me needing to know what happened- and not wanting to turn the page because I wasn't sure what awful thing I would encounter next. If you're looking for a historical read that has a fairly swift moving plot- and you don't mind having your heart broken numerous times, I would definitely recommend adding this one to your TBR's!
