I found out what I hate in this manga: teeth! How ugly their teeth are drawn! They seem like a monster when they show their goddamn awfully big teeth! I wanted Murano and even Kana have some big parts in the story or some solid personalities. Still the story is about Shinichi and Migi, so I guess I have to roll with it. Now another person near to Shinichi died. I didn't feel sad or anything, so it is a minus for the story. Still I am curious what will happen to all these parasites on earth. What are they planning? Are they going to coexist with humans? I doubt so. Despite not liking manga art, I like the animation. In anime Shinichi and other characters are more modern. My copy is a dog-eared, mass-media, three-and-a-half inch thick copy that I've read at least three times. I love the story. I love Dumas's writing. How can you not love the ever-arrogant D'Artagnan who shows up to the big city in a second-hand suit on an ugly mare and almost immediately racks up three duels with gentlemen over things like insulting his ugly horse. Clearly, Porthos, Athos, and Aramis find the gall of this newcomer intriguing - I can hear them saying to each other, "he kind of reminds me of...me." Within the first chapter, D'Artagnan goes from crossing blades with the Musketeers to fighting side by side with them in a skirmish with the Cardinal's men, and ultimately earning the respect their friendship is built on.Not to mention the story includes new romance, ghosts from the past, clandestine meetings, backstabbing politics, and a femme fatale like none other.

Seventeenth-century Kyoto was the center of a flourishing publishing industry, and for the first time in Japan's history it became possible for writers to live exclusively on their earnings. Saikaku was the first to actually do so. As a popular writer, Saikaku wanted to entertain his readership.
