A telegram has just arrived ant the Persichette home in Italy. It seems that their late grandfather's second wife, Maria Juana, is traveling from Venezuela to Italy to visit her stepson and two grandchildren. The youngest of the boys is given the task of picking up grandma at the airport. Expecting an aged widow, he is stunned , amazed and aroused by the incredible beauty that awaits him.

Salvatore Cannavone (Domenico Modugno) is a Sicilian cobbler-cum-shoe salesman who has worked for thirty years in New York City. He returns to his hometown where, although of modest means in America, he is considered a wealthy man and becomes the center of attraction. He begins to live with his brother Raffaele (Pippo Franco), his wife Rosa (Luciana Paluzzi), and his stepdaughter Mariuccia (Eleonora Giorgi) and, starting from their first meet, he and Mariuccia get busy with games of seduction. Raffaelle notices Salvatore's interest in Mariuccia and attempts to make use of it to have him stay at their house and to exploit his wealth. On the other hand, Salvatore also has an eye on voluptuous Rosa and both Mariuccia and Rosa begin to see Salvatore's passion as a means to secure the economic benefits he provides, which eventually leads to a peculiar threesome. Things get even more complicated when Mariuccia is betrothed to another man.

His father, however, does not know that his son is already doing well with the women: he uses psychology to seduce them. So, while his father tries to find a woman, Carlo begins to seduce Angela, who, however, discovers that in reality Carlo is not shy and embarrassed, and becomes furious with him for lying to her. Meanwhile, Carlo's mother, while talking to a friend, discovers that her husband has not left for Saudi Arabia but is at sea with Carlo, and she reaches there, threatening him for a divorce. At this point, Carlo and Angela unclose that Angela is pregnant.

Angela is a beautiful girl and despite her boyfriend Tonino is not exactly an Adonis, she insists to be faithful to him. But when discovers that she had been repeatedly betrayed, she decides to take revenge.
