***One of my favorite books of 2019***Ahh, The Karate Kid...Nostalgia smells beautiful, Am I right?This has to be a favorite movie of mine. I loved everything about the movie from Pat Morita, karate and bonsai trees.It was through this movie I learned about bonsai trees and karate. The book makes me love the movie all the more. Even if I hadn't seen the movie, I'd still love this book. My hubby and I have been watching Cobra Kai; the new youtube only show. We absolutely LOVE it. Its well made and any Karate Kid fan need to watch it pronto. I will be reading books 2 and 3 very soon.

Buzzword A ThonGolden Girls Read A Thon: Read a book that includes female friendshipsWhen I was 13 years old 10 Things I Hate About You was my favorite movie. I think I saw it in the theater at least 3x. I loved it! This movie was the first time I ever saw Heath Ledger and it was love at first sight. I was also still nursing my crush on Andrew Keegan(what ever happened to him) and I thought Julia Stiles was the coolest. I'm tempted to rewatch the movie but I fear I won't enjoy it as much as an adult. If I'm being honest this book is probably a 2 star read but my nostalgia for the movie caused me to up the rating. 10 Things I Hate About You is a retelling of William Shakespeare's The Taming Of The Shrew. Bianca the most popular sophomore at Padua High wants to date but can't until her older sister Kat does and Kat has no interest in dating or parties. So Cameron one of the 2 boys vying for Bianca comes up with a plan to get Kat to go out with school bad boy Patrick. Despite the condensed and rushed nature of the book it did make me want to watch the movie again. If for no other reason than to see a young Heath Ledger.

After saving a little boy from being run over in the park, she is quickly employed as a nanny for a rich Upper East Side couple. Mr X is occupied with his business, Mrs X loves shopping, and neither really likes to spend time with their little boy Grayer. Annie quickly learns that she has more than her hands full taking care of him. Her busy schedule doesn't give her much spare time. Mrs X fired her last nanny because she was dating and that gives Annie problems when Harvard Hottie who lives in the same building asks her out on a date.

Abandoned by his biological father, Thomas Button, after Benjamin's biological mother died in childbirth, Benjamin was raised by Queenie, a black woman and caregiver at a seniors home. Daisy's grandmother was a resident at that home, which is where she first met Benjamin. Although separated through the years, Daisy and Benjamin remain in contact throughout their lives, reconnecting in their forties when in age they finally match up. Some of the revelations in Benjamin's diary are difficult for Caroline to read, especially as it relates to the time past this reconnection between Benjamin and Daisy, when Daisy gets older and Benjamin grows younger into his childhood years.

He occupies the body of teacher going to work on that train and is confused as to what he is doing or why he is there as his last memory is of flying his helicopter on a combat mission in Afghanistan. Those in charge of the program explain to him that there is a bomb on the train, and that he must locate it. More importantly, he must identify the bomber as another bombing is expected later that day. He is also told however that he cannot change the past and can only gather information. As he develops a liking for his traveling companion Christina, he sets out to test that theory.
