Good rhythm, lots of different voices to invent...a good read aloud book.Poor bear hibernates right through most of the party that is carrying in right in his own lair. When he wakes up he is a blubbering mess about being left out but is quickly welcomed to join the fun. Unfortunately, soon after he joins the fun, all of his mates fall asleep leaving him wide awake and on his own. Its no fun being the last awake party animal at dawn....come on, who wants to go to denny's for some 4 am breakfast?!

Have you ever dreamed of being locked in a department store at night? The endearing story of Corduroy paints a picture of the adventures that might unfold (for a teddy bear at least) in such a situation. When all the shoppers have gone home for the night, Corduroy climbs down from the shelf to look for his missing button. It's a brave new world! He accidentally gets on an elevator that he thinks must be a mountain and sees the furniture section that he thinks must be a palace. He tries to pull a button off the mattress, but he ends up falling off the bed and knocking over a lamp. The night watchman hears the crash, finds Corduroy, and puts him back on the shelf downstairs. The next morning, he finds that it's his lucky day! A little girl buys him with money she saved in her piggy bank and takes him home to her room. Corduroy decides that this must be home and that Lisa must be his friend. Youngsters will never get tired of this toy-comes-alive tale with a happy ending, so you may also want to seek out Dan Freeman's next creation, A Pocket for Corduroy. (Ages 3 to 8)

After a day of hard playing at school, those little piggies get ripe!Apparently The Foot Book is one they have at school and obviously it's a favorite, because Emma passed over a dozen other good choices (even Cinderella!) and grabbed up my two copies (why do I have two?) so we could both read it at the same time. I assumed I would do the reading and she'd follow along. But as you no doubt know, when you assume you make and ass out of you and me.Her mom came early to pick her up, so I didn't get the chance to ask her how much she liked the book, but she asked if she could have one of the copies to take home with her, so that was kind of answer enough.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is a 1964 Christmas stop motion animated television special produced by Videocraft International, Ltd. (later known as Rankin/Bass Productions) and currently distributed by Universal Television. It first aired Sunday, December 6, 1964, on the NBC television network in the United States, and was sponsored by General Electric under the umbrella title of The General Electric Fantasy Hour. The special was based on the Johnny Marks song "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" which was itself based on the poem of the same name written in 1939 by Marks' brother-in-law, Robert L. May. Since 1972, the special has aired on CBS; the network unveiled a high-definition, digitally remastered version of the program in 2005. As with A Charlie Brown Christmas and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Rudolph no longer airs just once annually, but several times during the Christmas and holiday season on CBS. The Twilight Sad are a Scottish post-punk/indie rock band, comprising James Graham (vocals), Andy MacFarlane (guitar), Johnny Docherty (bass), Brendan Smith (keyboards) and Grant Hutchison (drums). American Dragon: Jake Long is an American animated television series. It was produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and created by Jeff Goode. It premiered on Disney Channel January 21, 2005, and ended September 1, 2007.
