Court
July 22, 2021: Editing this to state my original comment was geared more toward the writing style of Tracy Wolff, not the couples in the series. I think there is some confusion on that. I believe the first book was wholly unnecessary in that it was a long book and if Jaxon and Grace weren't going to be the main couple, it could have been combined into another book with less pages. The first book of the series feels completely separate from the others. I honestly think with the way Crush was written, that could have been the first book. I plan on rereading before Court comes out and when I do I'll be starting from the 2nd book, as if the first never existed. The first will always be my favorite but I need to treat it as it's own story. My issue is 1) focusing for too long on Jaxon and Grace, and 2) Spending TWO books having this weird love triangle where Grace one second is oh I love Jaxon, no I love Hudson - back and forth and back and forth. It's too much filler in the pages. I feel this could have made a very beautiful story if done differently. We'll see how I feel once the fourth comes out. I'm hoping Tracy Wolff turns it around, as in she just fixes the mess that occurred between all this drama.April 1, 2021: Only adding this book to my TBR because I’m hoping Tracy Wolff turns this series back around. I freaking loved Crave. Loved Jaxon and Grace. LOVED THAT DAMN BOOK. And for what?? What was the point of having a 500 page book all about Jaxon and Grace, just for them to not even end up together. I’ll quit all the books if Court doesn’t end the way it deserves to. If it’s not Jaxon and Grace in the end than this series shouldn’t even be called Crave. I haven’t been this frustrated with a book in quite awhile. But this series just went downhill so badly. No hate against Hudson, he’s a great guy and all and if it was Grace and Hudson from the beginning I’d be rooting for him. But it wasn’t Hudson and Grace, it was a whole damn novel about Jaxon and Grace. This is so stupid. And I’m just rambling pissed.
