Zoo Quest for a Dragon

I was recently gifted this book as a Yule present (Pagan version of Christmas) because I really like Komodo Dragons and everything reptile. (I even have a tattoo of a Komodo Dragon on my left arm, as well as tattoos of two leopard geckos and two dragons.) I always have enjoyed David Attenborough's programmes whenever I've been able to catch them on TV (back when I had a TV), so this book was perfect for me. I think my copy is from the '50's which is super. I do like vintage books! I really enjoyed the book; it was very interesting and really gave an insight on what actually happens on nature expeditions. There were so many setbacks on the journey to Komodo, it was actually quite shocking! The photographs were also really cool to look at - especially the ones of the Dragons themselves and of the flying lizard. I liked reading about Benjamin the bear, who was an orphaned cub that David Attenborough and his team looked after. (if it wasn't for them, that poor little bear would surely have died.) The bear looked very sweet in the photo! I'm glad I was given this book because it's something I know I will always enjoy in the future.
