The Seven Year Itch

There are a couple of bright moments in this novel, but mostly it is a slog to get through. Since we're being shown the crappy lives of two people, who are fed up and tired and not currently liking one another much, it makes the book a hard read because it is so very grumpy and hopeless. And the ending is like the last five minutes of a chick flick, where everything comes good. Everything. Without any regard for pacing or realism.
