It’s a big story, and the continuity between novels is pretty demanding (each one basically continues where the previous one left off, without breaking stride).   It was nearly a thousand light years across at its widest, and ninety at its deepest.   One of the more interesting aspects of this setting is still the way “Hyperspace” is envisioned; different tiers, each almost like a galaxy unto itself. Some of this is baffling to read and envision, but that doesn’t make it any less exciting.
