Books like Raiders of the Lost Carpark

I just love Hugo Rune. He's my favourite character besides Rizla, Jim Pooley and John Omally out of all the rankin's books (though I haven't read them all just half of them). I do love Cornelius Murphy too with his best mate Tuppe. After reading the 'ulimate truths' I just had to go out and buy the next book to see if Cornelius found Hugo Rune. Now I can't wait to read the last installment.I liked how Rankin made many references to the Golden Dawn Occult order. I wouldn't have picked up on them if I hadn't started researching the order for a steampunk detective story I've been writing.Though, I didn't really approve the bits with the royal family. It just seemed... I don't know... wrong... I kept cringing at those parts and tried to just skim over them.Plus, Father Christmas being a fairy! I love it!!! It makes total sense! :DOverall a five star effort. definitely worth a look!Hail Rankin for his far-fetched quirky ideas!!! :)
