Books like On Grandma's Porch: Stories and True Facts about Growing up Southern in the Good Old Days

On Grandma's Porch was a collection of short stories of memories that the authors had of their grandparents and growing up southern. The book was delightful. I like that it was short stories and I could sit down with the book for an hour at night after everybody had gone home and Mr. J was asleep and unwind reading one of these stories. It was relaxing and soothing. All of the stories were fond recollections of times spent with grandparents or aunts or some other elderly relative. I recall time spent with my own grandparents with the same fondness. I am currently in the grandparenting stage of my own life and as I read these stories I couldn't help but hope that 40 or 50 years from now my own grandchildren will look back on my life with the same degree of love.
