1776/John Adams

That's a difficult rating because I would give John Adams a 5, but 1776 a 3/4. I've had friends say that it was difficult to get into John Adams, but after the first 100 pages, they liked it. It is a very thorough, readable biography of John Adams life and his remarkable contribution to the history of the United States. I think this is a very worthwhile read, especially if you enjoy reading history. 1776 is a well-written book, but I didn't find it as compelling as some of the other books I've read by David McCullough
